SK8 del Sol skateboard contest will be held for the 3rd year at Cole Park on Saturday, October 10, 2009.

This event is held to raise money for skate park improvements and to have small "skate slabs" installed in some of the smaller parks throughout the city. For more detail on the mission of the event click the "About SK8 del Sol" box below.

The schedule of events has been posted and the skateboard contest is scheduled, but the primary purpose is for everyone HAVE FUN.

While the day will focus on skateboarding, there will be activities, fun, games and events going on all day for every member of the family and every age group.

If you are a skateboarder you don't have to be highly skilled to enjoy this event. The street contest are free and open to everyone - and who knows, you may just have a great day and win some prizes.
